Leask Marine has successfully completed a major Pre-Lay Grapnel Run (PLGR) campaign for N-Sea at the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm.
Operating approximately 47.3 nautical miles offshore, within the wind farm inter-array, the MV C-Trojan safely executed more than 142 km of PLGR operations across the wind farm corridors, clearing the planned cable routes ahead of cable installation.
The campaign was undertaken on a continuous 24-hour operational schedule, demonstrating both the reliability of the vessel and the capability of its crew. Despite her compact size, MV C-Trojan's unique design provides exceptional personnel capacity and operational flexibility, making her ideally suited to demanding offshore support campaigns. To complete the works, Leask Marine deployed one of its specialist PLGR spreads, incorporating a Flatfish Grapnel, Rennie Grapnel, Gifford Grapnel, Spearpoint Grapnel, and a Stingray Acoustic Tow Line Positioning Grapnel integrated with a USBL transponder tracking system. This specialist equipment enabled accurate positioning and effective clearance of the proposed cable routes before installation
