Raptor AROV 2

The Raptor AROV 2 is our remotely operated subsea drilling and anchor installation system, engineered for high-energy tidal and floating wind sites at operating depths of up to 1,000m.

Developed for environments with very limited working windows, the AROV 2 can install an anchor within a single slack-water period – dramatically reducing vessel time and offshore complexity.

The system works alongside proprietary groutless self-drilling rock anchor technology, allowing anchors to be installed far more efficiently than traditional methods, and positioning each anchor to within ±3° of vertical.

It is designed around smaller, more cost-effective support vessels rather than large offshore construction spreads – a significant benefit for project economics on sites like those around Orkney and future floating offshore renewable developments. The AROV 2 forms part of a connected subsea toolkit alongside inspection systems, intervention crawlers and integrated vessel operations.
