Eday Storm Damage Repair Operations Continue

The engineering, vessel and diving teams were all out at Eday over the past weekend completing Phase 2 emergency repairs to Eday Pier.

Phase 1 consisted of suppling and placing a temporary walkway for pedestrian access, followed by backfilling the road to allow transit. Phase 2 operations consisted of the team transporting 100 tonnes of dry mix concrete and lifting equipment on the C-Chariot to Eday. The team then placed the bags of material to a design specification and each bag was anchored with staples and reinforced bars.
