Leask Marine Ltd. present to industry as key strategic partner for Magallanes Renovables

Leask Marine Ltd. recently attended Magallanes Renovables’ “OCEAN_2G consortium workshop” in London and presented to the industry, as a key strategic partner for this exciting project.  

The OCEAN_2G (Second Generation technologies in ocean energy) innovation project aims to test, validate and pre-certify an innovative full-size tidal energy harnessing system solution ready to enter into European and global markets, boosting the growth performance of industrial partners of the consortium and placing itself as a worldwide referent in the manufacturing of floating platforms for producing electrical energy from tidal currents.

Leask Marine is a strategic partner for Magallanes Renovables, bringing expert service delivery to operations such as installing, uninstalling and maintenance, throughout the project’s lifespan.

The successful installation of their second generation (2G) 2MW tidal platform ‘ATIR’ took place earlier this year.  

Leask Marine Ltd. is one of four project stakeholders involved in supporting Magallanes Renovables, alongside Sagres (parent company of Partenon)  EMEC and IM Future.
