Alistair Cameron, On-site Manager, said Leask Marine Ltd were contracted by to provide offshore support during nearshore HDD ducting works, cable float out and cable laydown operations offshore North of Portgordon.

Leask Marine co-ordinated with a number of their appointed sub-contractors for Remotely Operated Vehicle and cable guiding and tensioning across the C-Fenna and into the pre-dug trench from onshore to the offshore cable laying vessel.

The project involved the pull-through the cable ducting of 2 High Voltage Direct Current Cables together with a single Fibre Optic cable as part of the project. The vessel set out a transit mooring spread along the sub-sea trench to enable the three cables to be over-boarded in a controlled manner and laid to the exact required position in the cable trench. The C-Fenna operated out of Buckie Harbour for the operations.
