Leask Marine Ltd are one of the UK’s leading marine contractors, specialising in offshore & nearshore marine operations. To support our expanding fleet, we have a number of fantastic opportunities for experienced Multicat Vessel Masters, Vessel Engineers, and Able Seamen.

Multicat Masters

Location: UK based
Rotation: 4-week rotation
Start: April 2021

Leask Marine require experienced Multicat Masters, responsible for safe and efficient operation of the vessel and its crew, and the safe and efficient navigation and manoeuvring of the vessel. Previous experience with multicats or similar vessels is preferred, and the desirable certification is:

  • Master 200GT or higher United Kingdom Certificate of Competence/UK Certificate of Equivalence Competence.
  • Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical
  • Up to date and valid STCW’s Personal Survival Techniques/ Fire Fighting/ Basic First Aid/ Personal Safety and Social Responsibility

Multicat Engineers

Location: UK based
Rotation: 4-week rotation
Start: April 2021

Several opportunities exist for experienced vessel Engineers. Preferable that the candidate has experience on multicats, anchor handling vessels or fishing boats. Required to work as sole engineer on-board with working on deck when required, and able to work within a small crew. The desirable certifications for this role are: 

  • Minimum qualification of MCA Approved Engine Course
  • Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical
  • Up to date and valid STCW’s Personal Survival Techniques/ Fire Fighting/ Basic First Aid/ Personal Safety and Social Responsibility

Able Seamen/Deck hands

Location: UK based
Rotation: 4-week rotation
Start: April 2021

We have opportunities for a number of Able Seaman/Deckhands to work on our workboat fleet. Preferable that the candidate holds some experience on multicats or small vessels with deck experience. The candidates need to be able to work within a small crew, and any small boat handling experience will be considered.

Desirable Certification: 

  • Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical
  • Up to date and valid STCW’s Personal Survival Techniques/ Fire Fighting/ Basic First Aid/ Personal Safety and Social Responsibility
  • Navigational Watch Rating Certificate
