Leask Marine

Leask Marine have a proven track record over 17 years of operation, able to meet and exceed the demands of a large array of underwater projects. Although based in Orkney and working mainly within Orkney waters, we have undertaken contracts further afield on the Mainland UK and Ireland in the past.

Our work covers two main areas:

• The daily routine work requires meeting the diving requirements locally, clients including the local salmon companies and Council Harbours Department.

• The company over the years has also fulfilled a large number of contracts for clients including Briggs Marine and Balfour Kirkpatrik, amongst others.

The Team

The diving team are all fully qualified to HSE Diving at Work regulations, meeting and often exceeding the requirements for working underwater. Many of the divers have been with the company over the full life span, keeping skills and experience in-house and maintaining a strong level of cohesion as a team, able to utilise the strengths of the other diver's knowledge to the full.

Beyond this central core, Leask Marine maintains a network of links with other divers who can be drafted in to meet the requirements of larger contracts. Many of these divers have worked for Leask Marine in the past, therefore posses a known pedigree whilst being familiar with the ropes.

The Equipment

As a baseline standard, all equipment is maintained and certified to meet required standard. Leask Marine own and operate a wide variety of plant so that there are few jobs that cannot be catered for using Leask Marine facilities.

Boat Charter

Available to charter, Leask Marine operate two diving support vessels.

• The MV Challenger is an Offshore 105, a fast, manoeuvrable and capable sea boat with copious deck space, well suited to the requirements of diving work.

• The MV Sunrise is a 70ft, fully sheltered dive boat fully equipped to undertake diving operations.

We also maintain close links with a number of other boat operators and are therefore able to meet most boat charter requirements, whatever the job.
