Commercial diving company, based in Kirkwall. Orkney Islands, and were first established in 1985. The company has grown and developed over the years, now operating 3 teams of divers with an additional workboat charter service, comprising 3 multi-purpose vessels. Our company offer our clients highly experienced, reliable and cost efficient services.

Safety is of paramount importance in all operations. All works shall be carried out in accordance with the project specific documents and detailed work procedures. Hence Leask Marine has had no reportable incidents to the HSE.

2008 Projects consisted of:

A large cathodic protection contract in Kirkwall harbour, which consisted of welding on 1400 anodes, varying in size from 50 – 100 kg.

Accelerated low water corrosion surveys, surveying all steel pile thicknesses on 17 harbours around Orkney.

EMECs wave energy test site at Bilia Croo, Stromness, Orkney, for Aqua Marine Power.

EMEC’s tidal test site at “The falls of Warness” – Eday, Orkney, for Open Hydro and Tidal Generation Ltd.

Aqua Culture – servicing all fish farm sites in Orkney.
